Mumbai, India is one of the worlds most densely populated mega-cities. Providing power to an ever-growing population in a city that can only grow vertically due it being water-locked is an extremely challenging problem. Cargill partnered with Tata Power to help them solve this problem by incorporating it’s product FR3 into Tata’s electrical transformers. It provided them with an environmentally sound product that is biodegradable, renewable, sustainable and is fire safe. This case study explores the reasons behind using FR3 and it’s benefits that will continue to help Tata Power supply Mumbai with electricity for decades to come.
